Ours gazed at us then at the toy, then at us, then at the toy, then turned her head almost fully sideways in wonder and curiosity. This went on for a bit until canine aggravation set in, and our mild-mannered mutt soon looked at us as if to say, “What, now you’re trying to have me committed to a nuthouse?! What did I do to deserve this torture and why is that FurReal Cookie Puppy still just sitting there if it’s so unhappy?”

Cookie is cute, cuddly, and thoroughly maddening after a few minutes. The motion detector is too sensitive and this thing will start whining and mewling the second anybody moves in the room. It even goes nonstop while still in the box! Good for the battery manufacturers but bad for Mom and Dad’s mental health, and possibly disastrous for your dogs’ peace of mind.

Great gift for kids who will keep it in their room, with the door closed, as you play the stereo in the other room.

You can pet the back, the head or the side and the puppy will make a move and a sound. The FurReal Cookie Puppy is very entertaining and always attracts attention of visitors. Sometimes I forget about the FurReal Cookie Puppy and he will start barking and I get creeped out.  If you call the puppy which any loud sound will work the puppy will turn depending where you are and will turn its head and start barking. When you insert it to the puppies mouth and he starts biting and making the bite sounds. It sounds like he is crunching some dog biscuit.

This is a pretty cool robotic toy with lots of function. We ended up taking the collar off and changing it to a blue collar. My son ended up naming the FurReal Cookie Puppy with “Franklin”. Taking the puppy out of the package was a real pain. I had to use scissors to get the puppy out. Once out the puppy is ready to go. It comes with a rubber dog toy.

Overall FurReal Cookie Puppy is a great robotic toy. My son takes him everywhere around the house. When we are ready we will be ready for the real deal. But for now this is great because we don’t have to worry about feeding and pooping up poop.
